Great concert at Southover School after a short ride from base. Such a warm welcome from the Headmaster and his young people. So polite and so attentive. The maestro delivered an excellent session. Good vibe. Cleared out and arrived five minutes later Anne of Cleves House. Took afternoon tea at their very pleasant tea room. Unusual discussion with waitress ensued on various bizarre topics.

Shopping Again!
Thought we were making headway to Lewis. Pulled in to Fish shop. "Got any mussels mate?" We are going to need them. I was in the groove and R pulled us in. I thought something fishy was going on. Lunch sorted we carried on.

Gig 1
The first gig has come and gone. Hectic evening with many technical issues to be sorted, sound quality, film and the lights! Bill gave me a good many tips and hints. Made classic novice error on the show lights, using the wrong slider for sound to light effects! Lost some points there. May need to report to the office in the morning! Good show went down well with the home ground. Sold out in fact. Standing room only. Cycling Music well received. Cd's flying off the desk at the end. Great to see Uncle Nick and Family. Leam gave me a ballooning tie and we got a wonderful donation from them for the Big C. Packed up and got out of Ropetackle for two mile ride base and bed but not before cheese and wine and debrief.
Ride through London
Had to ride through London to catch Shoreham train. Passed Buck palace, home to Her Majesty (bow head) and the good Duke. Thought of my Uncle and John A in Canada both great royalists.
The Big Day!!
Getting out of home and work is always a nightmare. The bike has had the treatment but still looks a little worn out or should I say well used. My bags have been packed and I have yet to realise what I might have forgotten. You can never have too much time to get ready. Got a lift from Ed to Diss to catch the 09.47 to London Liverpool. Picked up ticket. Still not remembered what I might have forgotten! Saw reflection of myself in window in the riding gear plus bike. What do they say? All the gear no idea!!! Sign tells me that the train may well terminate at Stratford. That will make my ride to connection to Shoreham at Victoria considerably longer. No good moaning. On the train and enjoying the peace. Called the maestro to let him know I am on my way. Perhaps he thought I might have decided to give the whole thing a miss. Telephoned my cousin Liam to give him the post code for the Ropetackle at Shoreham. They, Uncle Nick and Aunty Barbara plus Aiden and Liam are coming to the concert tonight. On holiday at Middleton on Sea, it will be good to see them. Home supporters for the opening night of the tour. A great chance to raise the funds for Big C with 20% of the tour proceeds going to the charity. Raining as we approach London. That will not dampen the spirits. Hope to get to the Ropetackle and meet up with RD by lunchtime. Learning curve on the technical side will steepen through the afternoon. I will make a Pink Floyd light show look like nothing. Bill has come down to deliver an intensive course for me. Thanks for reading.
